While the winter months may be too cold to enjoy swimming, it is an excellent time for ice-fishing on the frozen lakes of Dickinson County. Other winter-time activities include ice skating, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling on the trails in the park. The western regions of the park are a great place for hiking and wildlife observation, with an interpretive trail winding its way through the park grounds. The trail covers land that is home to songbirds and white-tailed deer, among other animals, making it a delightful place to walk. |
